What, where, when and how
to use this.
Let's see what is available for wart over-the-counter.
Before you apply any wart medications, you have to file the wart with a nail file or emery board when your skin is damp (after a shower or bath). Otherwise they may not work.
Your main goal should be to remove the warts without any scarring.
With this in mind, see what is recommended for wart removal over the counter below.
Over-the-counter wart liquid or patch contain salicylic acid. This will gradually peel away the skin.
Look for preparations with liquid salicylic acid 17% or pads (40%).
Do not use to treat genital warts, warts on the face, warts with hair growing from them, warts in the nose or mouth, moles, or birthmarks.
Easy to use, but read manufacturer's directions carefully. Pay attention to time of application.
Combine both methods above for large warts.
